The elegance of Devatas's design is spare and confident, embodying contemporary style with timeless tradition.

There are indoor/outdoor bathrooms, bales and 5 air-conditioned, king size bedrooms set under the traditional Balinese style roof. The stunning water features create a tranquil ambience to soothe the soul. This unique concept gives our guests a sense of privacy and ultimate luxury, different to a hotel environment.

It extends all the necessary pleasures expected in a 5-star hotel plus there are the ingratiating small gestures such as unlimited  free bottles of water, pandan slippers (even special children's sizes), gowns for your trip to the spa, and sarongs for total comfort  (also including children's sizes) ...and woven baskets for outings to the beach and pool. And the provisions made for babies including nanny service if you wish. The invitation to relax is clear: guests can take their pick of daybeds and pool loungers and more conventional lounges..not to mention the massage beds overlooking the river.

Devatas understands creature comforts and each room boasts iPod docking stations, and the media/games room and master suite hold plasma TVs and DVDs. Quality bedding is soft, plush and generous. When you take a shower or bath you can't help but appreciate the selection of Bvlgari toiletries. Rich shampoos and fragrant bath infusions are just some of the sensual delights with which to spoil yourself.
Peek under the thatched roofs and enter the guest rooms filled with luxury that sets the stage for supreme relaxation and provide respite from the outside world. The interiors are sleek and airy with 4-poster beds, crisp white duvets, off-white terrazzo and ample storage space.  Whilst avoiding the generic 5-star hotel feel it is elegant and sophisticated with light-filled, spacious rooms and a boutique feel. Guests will feel they are in a special and unique place with the feeling of a private residence. Upstairs suites come with an outdoor terrace furnished with an oversized day bed. The result sees traditional Balinese architecture with a contemporary edge. The rooms are furnished in understated luxury... nothing ostentatious, just restrained good taste, but with the touches that lift it into world-class category. Your bathroom, for example, has 2 showers, a tub and a cornucopia of Bvlgari aromatherapy toiletries. Bathtime is a treat begging lengthy indulgence.

Four of these air-conditioned guestrooms, overlooking the rice fields and river, are located in 2 adjacent upstairs/downstairs buildings.  Then there is the master suite with its own pool at the opposite end of the property...all 5 guest rooms are complete with king size beds (incl. some that can be separated for single guests and children), mosquito canopies, and crisp white sheets, secluded outdoor bathing and showers that evoke the feeling of a gentle tropical rainfall.... deep baths set in seemingly endless and compelling bathrooms stacked with thick white towels and luxury bath products.  Inspired by the traditions of indigenous artisans, the decor reflects the vibrancy of the natural environment. They are a fusion of traditional Balinese design elements and contemporary resort features, with cool terrazzo floors, soaring ceilings and large open verandas.

Beyond the bedrooms, myriad pleasures beckon. A few laps of the heavenly horizon pool, perhaps, a cocktail by the pool or a massage... relaxation goes to a whole new level when you enter the spa at Devatas which boasts a range of treatments including massages from Thailand to China via India and Bali that blend different cultural traditions that deliver a first-class pampering experience.

A prominent feature of this exclusive residence is the large pavilion that houses the main entertaining space; an elongated open-air bar/lounge and dining room, with the kitchen and staff quarters nearby but out of sight. The living areas give an impression of being indoors but not enclosed, allowing views of the pool and manicured gardens and ponds that extend to the rice fields. The 20 metre celadon-tiled lap-pool emphasises and reinforces the minimalist features of the villa.

With room to easily accommodate the 14-16 seat dining table, sofas providing cozy corners beneath the vast roof and the off-white polished terrazzo floor, you begin to get a sense of the impressive yet intimate scale. At night-time, with tactfully placed ambient lighting one is immersed in the interior, and the villa becomes its own private world.

The decor is very stylish, pulling a mix of elements together into a modern and elegant combination. This spacious house reflects tropical open-style architecture and merges western luxury with lush nature. The decor is opulent yet calming, sleek and simple with wooden furniture and neutral tones that never attempt to compete with the stunning scenery - classic Balinese decor with a contemporary twist. Devatas has an ability to surprise with the diversity of modern-day indulgences that paradoxically blend harmoniously within this laid-back tropical paradise.

Few who enter this idyllic setting and taste its simple luxury will relish the thought of having to eventually leave. Devatas is a place for the most demanding traveller who seeks not just style, but precise service. As such, rooms are serviced twice daily and fluffy towels and bottled water are replenished during dinner.
